I don’t have too much to share this week, BUT I have been slowly working away on a project for a local Flower Shop here in Halifax. I am helping to re-vamp their business cards, and I am creating three different hand painted floral patterns that will be overlaid with a gold version of their new logo!

Right now I am really just in the playing around stages of things so I’m sure there will be a few adjustments to come! I’m having a lot of fun playing with colour and looking at flowers.

I’ve made two watercolour blooms and cut them out so that I could move them around freely!

I had to share this photo (above) because I was really into the message on the tea bag tag (does that have a proper name!?) That’s it for now! I’m headed to a cottage for the weekend. I’m sure I’ll find some inspiration there!

  1. I love the last picture and am glad that u shared it 🙂 Cute mug! The way the tea bag message swoops down the cup looks like it was part of it. 😉 Have fun!

    • Hi! I use watercolours. Each layer on the flower is a slightly darker shade of what lies below it. So I started out with the lightest colour first, and then layer by layer, added darker hues of the same colour by mixing in mainly blues to my paint.

  2. These tea bag tags do have a name but I be damned if I remember what it is! :/
Lovely flowers, and a great inspiration to me to get off my lazy butt and start drawing and painting (this thing I always wanted to be good at but never really put the effort into)
