Hope everyone is feelin’ good today! I’ve been crazy busy working and printing, and working some more! I’ve written about my new business a little on here before, but I thought I would share a little bit of what we’ve been up to in the studio lately! The business plan is complete (thank god!) and we are now in full printing mode gearing up for Christmas sales. It was very weird and a little disorienting drawing designs for Christmas, but once I got my brain there everything was A-OK! We are currently printing out of a spare room in my sister’s apartment, but it looks like we may be moving into a real studio space soon!
We’ve been having a lot of fun and learning a TON. I for one had never really screen printed until last winter when my good pal Charley Young invited me into her studio and got me helping her on some printing projects. I designed my sister’s wedding invites and Charley and I screen printed them in the spring and I was hooked! Meanwhile my sister and I were trying to hatch ideas for a new business, and we landed on screen printing! We both love to work with our hands and our imaginations, and we love to meet new people. Double Dare Screen Print Studio was born and now we are happily printing away getting ready to apply for the Halifax Craters Society Christmas Show AND officially launching our business! I have a feeling these next few months are only going to get crazier.
Today I am sending our business cards to print (which I designed!) and also getting an awesome rubber stamp made with our logo on it! It will feel so good to have these little items around! Things are coming together for our little biz!!
Well..that’s all I really have time to write this mornin! If you are interested please visit our facebook page (website and online shop coming soon!!)

We are both so excited and have lots of ideas all the time! We will keep you updated!
I love your business cards! So simple, yet so elegant! I wish you good luck with your own business, I know how it is to start one up having recently been there myself. I hope one day I will be able to expand mine with printing as well.
Hi Ana! Good luck with your business! π
