Good Monday to you all! Here in Nova Scotia it’s a holiday….I won’t brag too much, but I will say that its really nice to have a little extended holiday! I wasn’t even really expecting it until someone reminded me that I didn’t have to return to work from my vacation until Tuesday! A nice little treat! Anyhow today’s feature is an amazingly skilled painter Hope Gangloff. I could find almost no information on the artist, even on her website so if anyone knows any more about her please feel free to leave a comment so we can learn more! I absolutely admire her use of colour, and space and her paintings remind me of a few different artists Egon Schiele being one, Klimpt (the colours and details!) and also a little Lautrec because of the illustrational quality of her lines. Please visit her website to see more of her brilliant work! On with the show!
Nice choice. Its always a pleasure to read your blog 🙂
She is amazing. I love the line quality here.
yes! She is so skilled.
absolutey mesmerised! Beautiul, beautiful paintings! 🙂
I love the way the figures are posed and painted. The expressions, everything just seems to reflect the sentiment of society in a particular moment. Even though it shows the external world, it seems introspective in a way too.
mhm! Nice observation. I see what you mean!
