I came accross these beautiful day-dreamy portraits created by Japanese artist Ikenaga Yasunari. They are so captivating! I am a real sucker for a beautiful portrait. Who isn’t? The faces are beautiful, and thoughtful, and the way the sweaters are so perfectly illustrated just kills me! I couldn’t find a website for this artist, but please enjoy these beautiful works!
Those are GORGEOUS. Thanks for sharing!
more gorgeousness. Simply lovely.
WOW!
how were these done? do you know?
I couldn’t find much information about how he created his work. I do know that they are painted. I found this quote “He creates his art by dropping Japanese paints into the canvas that he calls “linen cloth”, with a Menso brush”, and a Menso brush is a tiny Japanese brush that is used for detail work. Sounds very mysterious!
