I love this little song by Burl Ives…and of course a little watercolour to go along with it. I painted a little robin instead though because I love them, and their beautiful eggs. I am still trying to get the hang of things. I do love working with them, but I’m not sure about this particular super cheap brand. I might splurge and buy a real set soon. Something about the pigment…these colours sort of die out once it is dry. The entire set cost $6…you get what you pay for! But it was a good trial set!
Happy Tuesday!
Way down yonder in a hollow log
A jaybird danced with an ol’ bullfrog.
Buck-eyed Jim, you can’t go
Go weave and spin, you can’t go
Buck-eyed Jim
Way up yonder above the moon
A jaybird lived in a silver spoon.
Way down yonder in a wooden trough
An old woman died of the whoopin’ cough.
Way up yonder above the sky
A jaybird spit in a bluebird’s eye.
spring is coming!
Love this!
